Normalisation committees appointed in Tunisia and Maldives

The Bureau of the FIFA Council has decided to appoint normalisation committees for the Tunisian Football Association (FTF) and the Football Association of Maldives (FAM) on the basis of article 8 paragraph 2 of the FIFA Statutes.

Independent Ethics Committee provisionally suspends Football Association of Maldives President Bassam Adeel Jaleel

The chairperson of the adjudicatory chamber of the independent Ethics Committee has provisionally suspended the Football Association of Maldives President, Bassam Adeel Jaleel, from taking part in any football-related activity for a period of nine months.

The Maldives has become the latest country to name a football stadium after Pelé in response to the suggestion made by FIFA President Gianni Infantino following the Brazilian legend´s passing in December 2022.
